MS baseball started their season Saturday going 1-1 at the Sigel Round Robin. The boys dropped the opener to Cumberland, 7-5, then picked up a 4-1 8-inning win over the hosts on a game winning 3-run homerun from Wyatt Bell. Great start boys! #YNotOV

MS softball falls to Sullivan in extra innings in a great ballgame today. The girls scored 4 in the bottom of the 7th to send it to extras before falling in the 8th. Great perseverance ladies. #YNotOV

MS softball falls to TTown today in the 2nd game of the season. The girls are at Shelbyville tomorrow for a 4:30 1st pitch.

Brett Robinson retired last month after 34 years in education. He served as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent, with most of his years spent at Bethany/Okaw Valley and Cerro Gordo. Brett's family is hosting a retirement open house in his honor on Sunday, July 16, from 1-4 P.M. at the Bethany American Legion. We would love for his friends, family, colleagues, former students, players, and co-workers to stop by and wish him well as he enters into his retirement.

OVMS Cross Country Open Workouts start this week to get ready for the upcoming season for incoming 5th through 8th graders. Monday and Tuesday workouts are from 8-9:30 at the HS track. Thursday is from 8-9:30 at Crowder Park.
