Today, the Okaw Valley CUSD #302 community joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
We honor the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage, sacrifice, and selflessness in the face of tragedy.
As educators, students, families, and community members, we have a responsibility to ensure that the lessons of September 11 are never forgotten. May we continue to demonstrate the same values of service, compassion, courage, and unity that brought our country together.

For years, Okaw Valley High School’s Health Occupations program has provided our students with an incredible opportunity to explore careers in healthcare while gaining valuable knowledge and real-world experience.
This program has made a lasting impact on so many of our students—helping them discover their interests, build confidence, and take important steps toward their future careers. It is a great example of what can happen when high school education connects directly with career opportunities.
This year, seniors Alivia Garvin and Katie Coventry are taking advantage of this outstanding opportunity and gaining experiences that will benefit them well beyond their time at Okaw Valley.
We are incredibly thankful for this program and for Kerry Fisher for the time, dedication, and passion she brings to our students. Her commitment to helping students learn, grow, and explore their future is truly appreciated!
We are proud to offer opportunities like Health Occupations to our students and even prouder to see our students take advantage of them. The experiences our students gain today can help shape the careers and futures they build tomorrow!

For more than 14 years, Okaw Valley High School has provided students with the opportunity to attend Heartland Tech Academy, located on the campus of Richland Community College.
Over the years, our students have had the chance to explore a wide variety of career and technical programs, including welding, auto body, automotive technology, cosmetology, culinary arts, engineering, and many others. These hands-on experiences allow students to discover their interests, develop valuable skills, and begin preparing for their futures while they are still in high school.
One of the biggest benefits is that students can earn both high school and college credit, giving them a head start on their post-secondary education and careers.
We are incredibly proud of all of our Okaw Valley Tech Kids! Their willingness to learn, work with their hands, explore career opportunities, and take advantage of these programs is something to celebrate. These students are building skills today that can open doors for them tomorrow!
