It is with a heavy heart that we share this news with you. Sarah McDowell, a science teacher and volleyball coach at Okaw Valley High School was in a car accident last night. She is in stable condition at Carle in Champaign. Her mother-in-law, Natalie McDowell, a nurse at Monticello High School was tragically killed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the McDowell family as well as the Monticello School District.
To honor Kyler Lawrence tomorrow, we encourage students and staff to wear his favorite color, red to school.
