Okaw Valley in-person registration for the 2026-27 school year will be held Tuesday, Aug 4 at the high school in Bethany for high school and middle school students from 9 am to 5 pm. Elementary student families may go to the Elementary School from 9 am to 5 pm. Online registration forms will be accepted until the end of the day Tuesday, August 4. On March 25, 2026, nearly 200 students from across Illinois gathered in Springfield for the Illinois Electric and Telephone Cooperative Youth Day. We were proud to have Luci Barringer represent Okaw Valley High School and Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative during this event. Following Youth Day, Luci was selected through a competitive application and interview process to participate in our annual Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. This honor is reserved for outstanding students who demonstrate leadership potential, strong communication skills and a commitment to their communities. Sponsored by Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative, Youth Tour is an all-expense-paid, weeklong leadership experience in Washington, D.C., taking place June 15-22, 2026. This year, 52 Illinois students were selected to participate. Luci is currently enjoying her trip to D.C. Luci is the daughter of Mike and Lori Barringer and will be a Senior at Okaw Valley High School.
