Yesterday, our Okaw Valley Civics class had the opportunity to get outside the classroom and give back by working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the Illini Trail! For the past 10 years, Okaw Valley has been proud to partner with the Corps of Engineers on a variety of projects that provide our students with hands-on learning experiences while giving back to our community and the Lake Shelbyville area. These opportunities allow our students to learn about conservation, natural resources, teamwork, service, and the importance of taking care of the places we call home. 🌲🦺 Okaw Valley greatly values this long-standing partnership and the many opportunities the Corps of Engineers has provided our students over the years. We are thankful for their continued support, collaboration, and commitment to our students! A special THANK YOU to the Corps of Engineers for another great day of learning and service! 🐺 Okaw Valley — Learning Beyond the Classroom!
