The Decatur Regional Chamber of Commerce (DRCC) would like to congratulate you and your parents on your recent graduation from high school!
Now what? What are your plans? Many graduates aren’t sure of their next steps but in the meantime, need to make some money. We have local job opportunities for you and your parents to review.
The DRCC is partnering with Okaw Valley High School to host informational sessions on job openings with our workforce partners. Sessions will be held at the South Macon Public Library on May 18th and 19th. We encourage students and their parents to attend all available sessions as different employers will be at each one. Students and parents will have the opportunity to meet with different businesses during each session. At these meetings, you will hear about career opportunities from the participating local companies. Each session will feature different industries, so plan to attend all three sessions. Students will be presented valuable information such as starting salary, insurance, advancement opportunities, 401k retirement plans and other benefits. We encourage both graduating seniors and parents to ask questions during these sessions.
