Paper robots from Maker Day on display

On Tuesday, elementary students took part in a Maker Day in the gym. This was a time of open-ended learning using various manipulatives in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) related activities. Students had the opportunity to explore learning stations such as robots, Keva planks, marble magic, Little Bits, a floor piano and video games using a circuit complete with play-doh or bananas. There was also Giant Jenga, Legos, and materials to complete an electrical circuit using a battery, LED light, and play-doh. High school students helped facilitate the activity stations.
