With region 6 moving to Tier 1, middle school volleyball practice will start tomorrow, Tuesday, January 19 from 2:15-3:45. In-person learning will resume Tuesday, 1/19/21. All mobile devices and hotspots are to be returned to your student’s building principal on the 19th. The USDA has extended free lunches for all students for the remainder of the school year. We look forward to seeing our students and finishing the remainder of the year strong.

When our COVID region (region 6) is officially moved from tier 3 to tier 2 mitigations, we will release plans for sports practices and contact days. There remains a great deal of uncertainty in regard to practices and games, but opportunities will expand in tier 2.

OVES Packet drop off and pick up will be tomorrow, Monday, January 11 from 9-2 at the North gym doors. Students return in person Tues, Jan 19 and final packets are due when students return.

MS Boys and Girls Cross Country competed at Sullivan last night with the boys finishing 3rd and girls finishing 2nd in the meet. Camden Moore led the boys with a 1st place finish with a time of 12:07 while Lindsey Ozier finished 2nd in the girls race with a time of 13:44.

MS cross country sectionals will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at Bement High School. This will be the last middle school meet of the year. Girls run at 4:00 and boys at 5:00. #YNotOV

The 2019-2020 yearbooks are in and being distributed. 2020 Seniors can pick their books up in the High School office. We have a limited number of extras for $47.00. Contact Mrs. Yantis for more information.

All students in the Okaw Valley School District will now be eligible to receive free meals through December 2020. This applies to students attending school in-person, and those attending remote learning. This is made possible by the extension of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) - a federally funded , state administered program that provides reimbursement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for any free meal served to a child age 18 and under. There is no paperwork needed from parents. All remote learners who are interested must contact their building in which they attend.

8th graders Parker Spellman and Freshman Dominic Herold who took home medalist honors at the Bement cross country race today! Great results by all individuals as HS boys took 1st out of 4 teams as 3 of the top of 5 individuals were from OV while 3 of the top 6 MS boys were OV.

Today’s MS and HS cross country meets at Bement have been postponed until tomorrow due to impending weather this afternoon in the Bement area.

This Friday’s homecoming football at OVHS will also be “Real Men Wear Pink” Night. Mr. Inman will be selling t-shirts all week for $10.

Findlay will be under boil order the next two days but we have bottled water for students until the order has been lifted.

MS baseball defeats Tri-County 12-2 to finish the regular season 10-5. The boys host Ramsey on Wednesday at 4:30 in the regional quarterfinals.

MS softball falls to Springfield Calvary in the regional semifinals to end their season 10-11.

Notice: Next Wednesday's HS Cross Country meet at A&M has been moved to Tuesday. It will start at 4:30 at the golf course in Moweaqua.
