The "Red Apple" is presented each month to an Okaw Valley High School teacher who exemplifies commitment, compassion, excellence, and innovation. The award is presented by the previous month's recipient with an explanation of the attributes distinguishing the award winner.

Each month's recipient is recognized by their peers as a leader in their profession and also receives a $15 gift card to Applebees restaurant.
